What this paper is about

Edit What this paper is about Content
This paper engages with a number of theoretical principles that have underpinned the ways in which the nature and aims of education have been imagined and enacted. It engages with various forms of thought to elicit fundamental critique of the current conditions of possibility of education, in order to think education otherwise. In this sense, at least two forms of critique will be proposed. An internal critique, within modern epistemologies, drawing on arguments proposed by theorists from the philosophy of education and sociology of education. The second form of critique will be from Mātauranga Māori, introducing students to principles, thought and values.
